Front page news posts are used for announcing rallies, current events, and new members.

The photo gallery archives images by brand, model, and type. Photo captions can be searched by keyword.

Each rally has its own photo pack; images are ordered chronologically to best represent the event.

The forums host constant and lively conversations. Topical areas help keep the signal to noise ratio high.

Members are organized by branch and split into three types: member, scout, and honorary.

Each member, and website account holder, has their own page with limited customization abilities.

A member’s moped collection is listed in their account using a master brand/model list.

In the Moped Owners Directory you can search for people by area, moped brand, etc. Shown here: Ohio Motobecane owners.
The Moped Army is a nationwide moped club I co-founded in 1997. Starting with 3 people in Kalamazoo, Michigan we’ve grown to over 280 members, each part of a self contained local chapter. Our website has played a vital role in connecting disparate branches and acting as a hub for the larger moped community.
The site is used to plan events, share photos, meet friends, and trade advice. It combines archiving moped history with community tools to connect enthusiasts and members. It has grown to be the largest moped resource on the internet.
Each year I help plan a rally which brings people from around the nation to Kalamazoo for a weekend. We’ve had 11 of these events and combined with other branches there is a continuous series of regional rallies during the summer months. The website creates and nurtures the moped community, bringing them together in the real world as well as online.
