Pocket Marquee is a movie finder program that runs on a cell phone and allows for quick comparison of show times.

Nearby movie titles are listed and users can choose to see info for one or flag and compare show times for multiple movies.

The comparison screen gives all possible options by plotting every show time, grouped by theatre and sorted by distance.

Once a show time is selected the user is given driving directions to the theatre.
This two week project explored the challenges of navigating hierarchal information on a small screen. My two-person team created a movie finder application for a cell phone. The process began by developing a persona to ground the design decisions and moved on to navigation flow, wireframes, scenario development, and a demo of functionality.
The key feature of Pocket Marquee is the ability to flag multiple movies that are playing within a defined geographic radius and compare possible show times in a compact and dense information display. Duration of movies and travel times are also listed so that people can make a decision without jumping back and forth between numerous screens.
